Samson Executive Jet Centre was formed in 1993 and aircraft handling commenced immediately upon completion of the purpose-built facility. In June 2008, Samson was purchased by Newcastle International Airport, taking it to another level of aircraft handling within the Fixed Based Operator (FBO) sector. While making use of the corporate skills and branding that NIA has to offer, Samson operates independently - an airport within an airport.

In November 2022, Samson Executive Jet Centre was awarded stage 1 IS-BAH accreditation, demonstrating its high standard of business aircraft handling and commitment to enhanced safety and service levels for clients.

Samson is ideally suited to allow executive travellers and crew members a simple transition to and from their aircraft saving valuable time and cost. Travel is seamless and hassle-free in a friendly and welcoming environment.

Samson oversees all private jets flying in and out of the airport working alongside brokers, operators, airlines and the clients themselves. The Samson terminal was recently refurbished to include new furniture, lightning, floor and a completely new layout. The new facilities provide customers with a stylish, contemporary and unique environment as well as representing an element of Newcastle and all that the North East region has to offer.

Samson is actively involved with transatlantic delivery/ferry flights, emergency ambulance movements, freight flights and military operations alongside an extensive commercial clientele. Safety is a priority for the Samson team, and is constantly enforced in our everyday operations.
